Please help me fix my regulator

I have this regulator

But the last time my friend tried to use it he said O2 was spewing out of the thing and not the stone and he couldn't figure out what happened. Later he said he found a small white piece of circular plastic broken on the table next to the regulator. I am not sure where this was supposed to go so if anyone knows or has a picture of the inside of the regulator (a pic viewing from the bottom) I would appreciate it if you could post it because I don't want to buy another regulator for $30 +.

I don't know were that "little white" piece would go, mine doesn't have that to my recollection, I would need to know exactly were it was leaking to help you out more.
