Hello all,

This is my first ever home brew, and an all grain at that. Looking for you guys to critique the appearance. I understand I have quite a bit of chill haze, but as far as color, what do you see? This beer was in it second week in the bottle, so it is not ready. However, it taste pretty darn good so I am pleased so far. Here is my pale ale recipe:

BRIESS PALE 2 ROW 8lbs
BRIESS 40L CRYSTAL MALT 1 lb
DINGEMANS BELGIAN BISCUIT .5 lb
CASCADE 1 oz (60)
CHINOOK .5 oz (10)
CHINOOK .5 oz (1)
CENTENNIAL 1 oz (dry)
SAFALE US-05

The recipe looks solid, color looks normal, but I'm afraid I can't critique your beer unless you send me a sample :D

Dry hopped pale ales are supposed to look cloudy, that's probably from the hopping and not just chill haze.

that is a basic and solid pale ale recipe. Personally I would put the Centennial hops at 60 minutes and dry hop with the cascades and shoot for bitterness of around 35-38 IBU's which is a nice balance to 1 lb of Crystal/Caramel malt sweetness.
