I have been kicking back the ideas of getting a plastic conical or more likely creating my own from a 15gal inductor tank but am really looking for someone to help me put together the Pro's and Con's of using FDA approved plastics.
I think one of the first lessons I was thought was beer goes in glass not in plastic PERIOD. Thus leaving me skeptical about using anything other than my glass carboys however now that I have graduated into 10 gal batches I am really looking for a way to ferment in one container and the ability to just drain the trub and yeast versus multiple transfers has become very appealing to me
If a few people could chime in with why the use or wont use a plastic ferementor I would appreciate it
