Planting Seeds

Hi Guys,

I sorry, I'm sure this has been asked before but let's have a go again...I did search multiple times but haven't found much very helpful.

I bought some hop seeds, tiny little buggers, what do I need to do to get me some good ole' hops? Down here in SA there isn't any who sells rhizomes that I have found so far. do I need to put these in the fridge for 5-6 weeks to get them to germinate or just sick the suckers in a little dirt and keep them wet?

Any help is greatly appreciated. I would really like to try and get a good south american strand of hops growing...

You need to put them in the fridge, in a wet paper towel or wet soil, for at least 4 to 6 weeks (cold stratification). Then, remove them from the fridge, most of them should germinate in the following 2 weeks.
