Voodoo going hard after that Draai Laag demographic
If so, it's a bad attempt. Unless you're talking about the "if you don't like hot sauce" disclaimer, in which case I agree.
But ultimately, Voodoo makes great stouts and DL makes terrible sours. So I doubt it will fall in the "passable to diarrhea" range. But could certainly be more in the "okay to good in small amounts range" with the BRC3 beers (just one man's opinion I realize...but I liked those beers). I doubt it ends up a drain pour though, which is DL's specialty.
But I have to say....the need to use the disclaimer..........always a red flag for me.
jeeze I was just making a stupid joke based on the choice to use nontraditional ingredients. Killjoy.
Any early feedback from draft pours?
Couldn't the vinegar from the hot sauce do some pretty funky things over time for the folks who would age that?
IDK about the science but it looks like the bottles say 'drink fresh'.
Edit: ...not that that means anything.
If I owned a brewery (and I don't) I would put that on any ba beer. Too many variables out of your control once that bottle leaves your hands.IDK about the science but it looks like the bottles say 'drink fresh'.

Are they first big Brewery to do a big stout in hot sauce barrels?
Had an Ithaca Smoked Porter that went into Tabasco barrels at EBF 08, Tastes Like Burning, Ralph Wiggums Revenge. It tasted like hot sauce. Are they first big Brewery to do a big stout in hot sauce barrels?

Founders put their All Day IPA into hot sauce barrels for some dumb ass reason. Was every bit as bad as you'd imagine. Might have been a taproom only though if you're talking bottles only.
EDIT: I also see you specified stout, so never mind.
Shew wee is Hottin' Up burning up the ISO:FT forum over on Satan's Playground.
Errything from dinguses asking for Assassin for it to someone just looking for New Glarus fruit shelfies. What a time to be alive.
Honestly, Hotting up and purple wax sour Assassin should go 1:1 all day.
I don't know if that's true (no sarcasm, I legitimately don't know), but I think we can both agree that there's a pretty wide gulf between Assassin and NG fruits.
IDGAF either way, honestly. Just found it to be humorous.
