Liberty beer has a few bottles of maple barrel biscotti break left for $30. Also tilquin quetsche and squared at $37 each.

may be old news, but fellow north bankers may find interest- Caliente is coming to Aspinwall. Taking over that Ordinary Joe's place.

I "tried" to drink a DL PB&J yesterday.... made it about 10 oz in, dumped it, stomach felt like **** for an hour (first beer of the day), and then unleashed in the bathroom.

Do the damn thing right.

BTW I saw the barrels you all posted on IG. Anything you're willing to tell us about how you're gonna employ those bad boys?
Those are Heaven Hill barrels that will be filled with 'Woke' which is our Breakfast Stout. They are the first of many barrels and we will soon be filling our 30bbl Foeders which will be treated as soleras. One with a Mixed Culture Saison and they other as a Golden Sour.

Sounds awesome.

I actually had a dl tafelbier over the weekend. It was completely unoffensive and even good. Not very memorable or outstanding in any way but passable.

Some of their more... uninnovative? beers are fine and sometimes they're even pretty decent. They just lack consistency and obviously get way off the rails with weird ****, like peanut butter and jelly beer and vanilla ice cream bourbon chocolate sour beer. Because apparently logic and reason didn't tell them that was a bad idea so they had to brew it not once, but twice.

So sounds like we've confirmed, yet again, that DL's range is "passable to drain pour/diarrhea".

How many more years until they take the next step to "meh to slight dry heeve"?

How do we recruit that BA guy to come over here and debate DL some more? That was fun for like an hour.

The Tafelbier is a fantastic example of their inconsistency. Had it a few times and it's ranged from "pleasant surprise" to "sulfur fart."

Yep. I've not had Tafelbier, but Geestelijike is the same way. When it's correct, it's actually very good, but you never know what you're going to get with it.
