Here is my foolproof plan when I visit Pizza Boy:

1) Eat in advance

2) Don't drink any Pizza Boy beers (except for Sunny Side Up)

3) Get 8oz pours of Tired Hands beer, even though the pricing is dumb

4) Fill growlers with Tired Hands SaisonHands

5) Head home
They only do to go Pizza boy beer now because they switched their license. No more to go bottles from outside breweries or growlers of draft except PB.

Contrary to popular belief...you're allowed to have that opinion.

I was surprised to see they only had 1 beer rated over 4 start on untappd

Speaking of, if anyone wants to add me there im @ m_mckinney

Thats actually my twitter handle as well

Switched their license to what? I've never heard of a place having those kind of restrictions.

There's a lot to question about Pizza Boy. I just visited there and confirmed the food is not good. Secondly, why no samples of your beer when you have so many? I'm not going to buy a glass of everything to figure out what to get crowlers of. Thirdly, the pricing makes no sense for the up charges of sizes on pour size and crowlers/growlers fills. The beer was enjoyable, but nothing that made me want to rush back.

It's also ******** that you cannot tip your bartender on a card there.

I also heard that only personal slices of pizza are allowed to be carried out at Pizza Boy. Entire pizzas must be eaten on premises or discarded.
I don't think that's true - from what I can tell you can order on-line, which I assume is for full pizzas, which I also assume is carry-out. You know what happens when you assume, though...

The more I think about it, the more Al and Scott deserve each other.

Anyone else get the petition for free labor at 9:30 PM last night along with the correction at 11:30 PM from EE? Should really remove myself from the mailing list, but it's so amusing that they still can't be self-reliant this far into the game.

i have to travel occasionally for work and staying at the hotel that's walking distance from pizza boy is always a great time. even though ambience and decor are modeled after the DMV, there are usually a ton of great drafts to pick from when hunkering down for a long night. as someone who gets stuck in some pretty ****** places, pizza boy / harrisburg are totally fine by me.

Heh. I was joking. Just a sarcastic quip aimed at the odd practices that seemingly only Pizza Boy tends to follow. I mean, come on. How do you not allow tips on cards?

We went in September of 2015. Thought the pizza was okay but nothing memorable. The beers I had ranged from middling, to a jalapeno pale ale that was absolutely ******* disgusting. That might sound harsh, but I feel like I can't properly articulate how bad it was.

Their bottled sours are ridiculously priced too, but that's beating an age old dead horse.
Last time I was there I had a pappy barrel aged imperial porter that was quite good. And I was very impressed with their urinals. Just to play devil's advocate.

Edit: That was about 4 years ago though. They may have changed somewhat since then. I also liked the tap list that looked like a horse race betting ticker.

They had 2 different licenses, a tavern license to sell any beer they wanted to do & a brewpub license which allows them to sell any beer brewed in PA. Those tavern licenses are worth $$$$$$$$$$ now that giant eagle & Wegmans use them to sell beer so I imagine him selling that in the next round of sell offs.

Edit: I have no idea why that limits The growler sales, probably Al being Al.

Why would they want to be when people will do **** for free for them that other people would want paid to do?

******' homers.

Someone with more sense than myself, please remind me that DL is turrible so I don't buy this new mixed culture saison that they're selling.

Please and thank you.
