I like them. I also donated to NPR in my early 20s, so...Side note, am I the only person that finds all podcasts to be the most boring form of media available?

Welcome to the official kickoff of PCBW where we celebrate all things craft beer here in this great city of Pittsburgh, or as I like to call it, "the week where Caliente sells beer not normally available around here for a $1.50 an oz. and where every bar/restaurant has a tap takeover of beers that are readily available but no one normally drinks".
(Couldn't figure out a way to incorporate cupcakes and free glassware giveaways.)![]()
I do a good bit of traveling for my job and always listen to podcasts. I'm an old Stern fan from the 90's so talk radio has been something I always dug. ****, when I'm driving around the Pittsburgh area I listen to KDKA 1020 AM radio. Podcasts are a good and free way to pass the time if you're driving or flying to your next destination.

You should make a suggestion that they market it that way.
When Bells BA Batch 9000 was on tap at MadMex Monroeville for like a month.I tried to get involved in the first couple years it was started. Pretty sure the website is the same. Also pretty sure the same places are hosting the same events. There used to be a few cool events each year that seemed like they were only by word of mouth. Fuel n fuddle tapped ithica brute 1 yr. Harris grill tapped bells ba 10k. Something special got tapped at the library once. Blue dust had a couple things no else had. These were things that I hoped would increase as time went on. Unfortunately I think the opposite has happened.
Current stern fan here. They were clowning on NPR a few weeks ago, saying that everyone always sounds like they're whispering. That's all I hear whenever I listen to npr now.I do a good bit of traveling for my job and always listen to podcasts. Thanks Tim.Start at 44:00 - I fell asleep for 35 minutes from jagoffbrewer soothing voice, but woke up before
To make the blanket statement that I "hate" local beer is patently false. I just don't share the same enthusiasm as these yinzers. As I said before varying levels of mediocrity. I have the same outlook towards non local beer. The overwhelming majority of beer on the shelves is mediocre at best. I don't care where it is brewed if it's really good I'll say so. If it's boring I'll also say so. You saying you didn't(still don't?) lend any credence to what I have to say is fine. The people I don't lend any credence to are the homers who say anything and everything is on point, awesome, fantastic, etc. GTFO with that nonsense.Yes, I have never been right. I've even acknowledged how you destroyed me on a podcast.
Thanks Tim.

You mean the program the president paid himself to produce? Not likely.I wasn't going to throw any snark fuel on the PCBW fire, but I'd happily volunteer to copy edit the program next year. Good...god...damn.
Ohhhh ****, NOW Nate gets it! I thought it was odd how much of that content he'd banged out* himself, especially after sending a request for volunteer writers. You mean the program the president paid himself to produce? Not likely.
Don't forget, his "media company" is a platinum ultra mega sponsor!Ohhhh ****, NOW Nate gets it! I thought it was odd how much of that content he'd banged out* himself, especially after sending a request for volunteer writers.
* And I literally mean it looks like he may have used a claw hammer to type up that guide. Dude's a decent enough writer, but god...damn...
Thanks to hunterpgh for hooking me up with a couple Infinite Highway and Lustra cans for my canoe trip next week!Throwing this out there...if anyone grabbed the DG Infinite Highway cans from last night and would be interesting in swapping a 4-pack let me know. Got a canoe trip next week and some cans would be nice. I plan to head to BG on Thursday so that might be an option for meeting up.
Pretty sure Whole Foods is a sponsor, if that tells you anything. My question this year is, how do you alienate GE enough for them to go from platinum sponsorship to nothing? I'd probably be the person to know this but I don't. Maybe they didn't ask?
