And is there any ETA as to when the Dancing G-nome will actually be open for business?
Allegheny City Brewing I think. They were serving up beer during Deutschtown Music Fest, but aren't open regularly yet (I don't think).
I think end of August Beginning of September. And is there any ETA as to when the Dancing G-nome will actually be open for business?

Yeah he knows his stuff. That place is going to be phenomenalNice. They're like 10-15 minutes from my house so I'm looking forward to seeing what they've got. I know you had good things to say when they did that soft opening.
Peeling the apples and pears?I don't think he's made the jump here (has he?). Chatted with him in the past month - he was still with them, keeping busy.
You've been there before so you already have a good idea about Sonic Bloom. There's an awful lot of sameness in their beers.Anyone here get a chance to try the Sonic Bloom that tapped last night at Brew Gentlemen?

Last I heard the plan was to dial everything in first on their 10 bbl system and then start canning. So I don't think they are opening with cans or anything. I'm sure they will give some sort of statement about opening/cans in the nearish future. Are they going to be canning pretty quickly? Only asking because of all the can renderings on their site.

I kind of look at it like say Wes Anderson's directorial career. There are elements that are consistent and similar in most of their offerings, but the more I drink there the more I'm able to detect the differences in beers.
That probably isn't a good comparison, but it's pretty much how I feel about their hoppy offerings.
Makes sense. Considering the description on their site, Lustra sounds right up my alley.
This opulent elixir is our portrait of earth, water, wood, fire, and metal. An ode to the unity of malted barley, hops, yeast, water, and the brewer who prudently blends them. Intense tropical and citrus fruit aromas and a clean fruity bitterness work in harmony with the lightly toasted wheat bread flavors derived from the malt. Leave your burdens behind and acquaint yourself with this Titan.
Reading the description on their website...
How the hell am I supposed to take that seriously? That's pretension overload. It's like he just got a brand new thesaurus and wanted to try it out.
About ******* time Draai Laag (contains the hashtag the briars are coming):

Will be in PGH in the week after next, staying with the lady's fam for a few days (Sewickely, to be precise). We've got a bunch of free time, so we're going to hit BG for sure. This winter we went to Drai Laag and had a good time, even if their beer wasn't top-notch. Would consider returning.
Any other must-hit places?
Yeah Lustra is fantastic. Can't wait for cans of it.Makes sense. Considering the description on their site, Lustra sounds right up my alley.
How could it not be with a description like that?Yeah Lustra is fantastic. Can't wait for cans of it.
Gimme that tank 7!
I gotta agree with jeevo on this one. Live long as prosper![]()
So do I.
Obviously i disagree but no biggie. I got love for BG and Voodoo. Got more love for Roundabout tho.
And personally just me in my humble o, I wouldn't say Voodoo or BG are a step down from Roundabout just cause i like Roundabout more.
