My knowledge of the science is obviously ****, but I don't get how you could brew with actual ice cream and come out with a product that didn't have to be refrigerated.

Brewing is some crazy ****, man.

There was actual ice cream added. I remember seeing it on Twitter a while back. I'll try to find it.


EDIT: found it. I tried to get more info but didn't get much beyond ice cream is apparently hard to ferment.

I hope the bugs liked it then...otherwise this has mess written all over it...would love to hear what the FG was.
 
How was everyone's PCBW? ****** because there was nothing going on that wasn't a horrific embarrassment? Mine too! Maybe next year the organizers will change the name to POSCBW before jumping off the Beer Barge with a quarter of Nutella lambic collab tied to their waists.
I actually started mine with a Prospero from jagoffbrewer and ended it last night with a half growler. My only partaking.
When the Real Ale Fest was in planning, they were trying to have it on the Clemente Bridge. That turned out to be a near-impossibility.
...yet they could do Picklesburg?

Ice cream stout? Pass.
Yea. Especially a bourbon ice cream stout, then made sahr by wild fermentation?
Like give it a rest. Pick your battlefield. Wild stuff is their ****. Leave bourbon and stout out of it. Especially icecream.
 
Isn't that a fairly high FG even by stout standards?
Just taking a wild stab, but 1.2 is probably the OG of molasses.

EDIT: Looks like molasses is more around 1.4, but yeah, I can't say I've heard of a beer having an OG of 1.2, much less an FG.

EDIT: Thus the joke. :)

So I'm guessing this means there's no "Two" coming from brewgentlemen

"We're kicking off our 2nd Anniversary Week with the release of three new hazy pales:

- A new batch of Albatross, our all-Galaxy spring double IPA
- Foshomo, an amped-up double IPA version of Momo, our Mosaic pale ale
- Foggy Mountain, a new American pale ale with Azacca, Amarillo and Simcoe hops

All three beers will be available on draft and in growlers. Bottles of Foshomo will be released during our Anniversary Bottle Release on Saturday, May 21st."
