Starting probably right after the Pens game is over, the Warriors will be trying to make history and Kobe Bryant plays his last game. Even though I find him to be an insufferable prick, I do respect the man's career and it's crazy to think that just about all of the big sports icons from my younger years (Manning, Jeter, Kobe) will be done. Definitely makes you feel old.

Also, I'm pretty sure that no one in Pittsburgh gives a **** about the NBA. :D
Nba is the **** I will watch tonight but don't give two ***** till playoff time.

I don't Facebook. Can someone tell me what their thing is?

Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week 2016 is upon us, and we're celebrating with a good old-fashioned tap takeover with our tiki-loving friends over at Hidden Harbor. Except that Hidden Harbor is a cocktail bar, and does not have any taps*. Yep, we're just going to be going out for a few drinks, and you're more than welcome to join us.

*While Hidden Harbor will not in fact have our (or anyone's) beer, The Independent (Hidden Harbor's adjacent sister bar) will have a lineup of BG beers available. Feel free to come hang out with us at HH for a cocktail, though - they'll be offering a 15% discount to all brewing industry members.

I follow it. I know everyone says it, but the Warriors are super fun to watch. Their style is mos def a throwback to the 90s (last time I really followed the NBA, before moving to Pittsburgh) and I tune in any chance I get.

Curry might be the most likable basketball player ever and this is coming from a guy who named his son after Jordan

I was basically the only person in Chicago that didn't give a **** about basketball. Sure I had a Rodman jersey and all, but I never really watched it at all except for maybe a game or two of the finals. I think it was mostly because Mexicans are bad at basketball.

Yeah we are dirty crust punks, that's actually how we met. You may have seen me playing a bucket for change outside of Fatheads.
Do YOU PEOPLE keep babies on ropes like YOUR KIND does with canine?

Not that I've ever necessarily disliked Curry...but I'm definitely starting to agree with this. Something about a dude with a killer instinct having so much fun on the court is really refreshing. Lebron is Lebron, but he lacks the killer instinct and I think he lets the pressure get to him at times. If not in performance, then definitely in his body language/social media comments. He's a little too uptight or something, can't put my finger on it.

Now all the Warriors need is a perennial rivalry or two and the NBA will be in a really good place - Spurs are just getting to be no match for them...

Seems like they're saying "We will be over at Hidden Harbor and a bunch of our beers will be on tap/in bottles next door", right? I believe The Independent and Hidden Harbor are operated by the same folks.

I could see that being perceived that way had it not been for their first "joke" post about PCBW. I have to say, I didn't see this second post, it was brought to my attention by someone who isn't involved in our little TB or BA or any of the craft beer stuffs. They found it to be *******, and they love BG's beers. It rubbed them the wrong way.

So I think it is fair to point out that their antics are sometimes not perceived in ways that they may intend them to.

I definitely enjoy GS and hope they set the record tonight. Having said that, I have no doubt the Spurs will win the West. Anyone interested in a beer related bet?

Alright everyone, here's a bit of background on all of this PCBW business:

We're in the middle of a lot of internal improvements and planning for the future, and currently don't have the bandwidth to devote to any sort of larger-scale PCBW events. So we've decided to do two low-key, tongue-in-cheek events to poke a bit of fun at the unending sprawl of an event calendar and let us focus on providing great beer experiences year-round.

The event at Hidden Harbor is both an actual tap takeover (but at their conveniently-adjacent sister bar) and a brewing industry event (all PGH beer industry members will receive a 15% discount), the Normal-Ass Service event is a fundraiser for Pittsburgh NORML, and if you receive our weekly email newsletter, you'll find that we've promoted a selection of other events hosted by our friends and business accounts.

Sadly, many people feel as though time spent getting upset at things is worth more than time spent looking into them further.

You're right, you have handled yourself well above board on this. We just lack the wherewithal to read deeper into your posts to "truly" understand your intentions.
