this has the makings of a bad break up to me.

DG asks BG to dance...

BG says no...

DG spreads rumor that they never invited BG to dance to begin with.

Versus BG making up the rumor they declined ... pulling the Federline script flip

I have no ties to DG other than drinking there a lot, and getting to know people that work there. But I can say that certain people were not pleased that BG didn't want to be a part of this event. #drunkengrainpofsalt

I wonder if other local beer scenes have as much butthurt as the Pittsburgh scene does?

Do you kinda feel like that Facebook poster had it coming because his name is Trip?

I don't really have a problem with that Scofflaw said though. I kind of expect any true craft brewery to spit out bad beers here and there when they're trying to grow and figure things out.

I always come back to DG in our discussions, but this is why I continue to give them a chance. The majority of their beers haven't worked for me, but it won't stop me from trying another. They've been open for a year, they're going to make beers that don't work... That's just the way it is. I'd still 100% rather try another beer from DG than I would grab something off the shelf at the store from a big boy. The adventure is part of the appeal, IMO.

That should be their new slogan.

And I hope that didn't come off as insulting toward DG either, because that wasn't my intent. It's clear that their beers are well made and that most like them. They just haven't clicked as much with me for some reason. The adventure comment was meant to be more broad to craft beer in general.

/end over explanation

You really have a stick up your ass about BG, don't you?
I just don't like lies .... Buddy had been told something from a DG employee so I was going off that ... someone is lying to look better so just makes me curious

To add to that though, we just had a blind tasting of The End. I thought it was solid, not mind blowing but solid. Could get vanilla and a little oak, needed more time in barrel IMO but that's just me. I didn't, but two ppl mentioned they tasted hints of infection. So it'll be interesting to see if that was just them or if the beer starts to change as time goes on for ppl who still have bottles. Carbonation was spot on
