Is there a rule of thumb for pitching yeast?

I'm looking to make an APA and want to use Irish Ale yeast from Wyeast Labs.

Should I pitch it in the high 60s? Low 70? Mid 70?

Any help would be great. Thanks new homebrewer :mug:

Every time I read one of those descriptions of the yeast, I think "I should be using that yeast!"

FWIW my rule of thumb is to pitch at ferment temperatures.
