Just brewed up a slightly hoppy blonde ale mr beer 2.5 gal 3lbs light dme carapils 15 min boil...I pitched saf-05 at around 74 degrees at nite then swamped cooler I iced it pretty good.... next morning temps in low 60's think I'll have any off flavors? It was late nite brew..
 
Sounds like you got the temp down before fermentation got heavily underway. I bet you're fine.
 
You might have off flavors from the low 60's more so than the pitching temp. I'd warm it up to around 68 if it were me. YMMV
 
You may or may not. If you under pitch or the temp is too low or too high, will cause off flavors. 05 is supposed to throw out peachy flavors at low temps. from my exp with 05 yeast its best at 65ish. i do 65 for a week then 70 for another.

^ Good advice here.^ I like 05 in the 65-68 range for the first few days, then bump up to 70 when it slows down.

It creeped up to 71 very active ferm...3rd day .Ahhh ice pack thawed..sorta warm in my garage..iced it down again..
 
That would concern me a bit. Invest in a fermentation chamber if you can. I bought a chest freezer as a fermentation chamber after my first brew. I did a bunch of research, bought a bunch of equipment and made my first batch. i went all grain as my very first brew and i did everything perfectly. The only thing i didn't do right as control fermentation temps and was hoping the ambient temp was cold enough to keep temps down. well it didn't and i got a ton of off flavors. eventually dumped the batch since i needed to free up a keg to fill it with much better beer that was brewed with controlled fermentation.
 
My hard cooler keeps temps in the 60's with a frozen 2 liter..it's my soft cooler temps are fluctuating...last time I'm using the soft cooler...so far with the soft cooler the beers have turned out well with saf-05.
 
Man I had blonde ale in the swamp temps are in the 50's had to do a double last nite couldn't check in on it...don't know what this batch will be like pitched at 74 fermenting in the low 60's first 3-4 days now since it cooled off in my garage so temps dropped..geeze I've could've done a lager..I hop saf-05 treats me right.
 
It's just kinda tough keeping temp consistent...I'm ranging 59-67..cooler is in my garage past couple days garage temp goes up to 74 then down in the 60's..right now it's cooler out my temps bout 62...if this recipe fails hopped up blonde...might stick to stouts IPAs they can hide off flavors.
 
You can try those fermentation insulation bags. don't have any exp with them but they look much better than the swamp cooler method. If you have the space for it then keep an eye on craigslist for a cheap used minifridge or chest freezer.

They say US-05 is a forgiving yeast strain. from my exp it isnt as clean as people make it out to be. Because of this ive been trying out different types of yeast. the next one ima try is m44 west coast ale yeast for an IPA. i got WLP001 fermenting an IPA right now. i know its supposed to be the same strain as US-05 but i have heard its cleaner and more forgiving than US-05.

After day 3 or 4 you really don't need to worry about the temps as much hence why people let it warm up over the fermentation
 
I ferment US-05 at 64 or 65 in my fermentation chamber. I like the results. I do most of my fermentations below the middle temperature range for the yeast. I also do not bother letting it warm up after the active portion of the fermentation has passed. Again I like the results. Am I getting off flavors? I don't know, but when I share my beers I almost always get rave reviews. When my beers are not liked it is usually because the person doesn't care for the style.
 
I'm usually in the 60's first few days how hight can I let stouts IPAs ales go up to afterwards?
