Thanks to morebeer for giving me a sale on Irish Red...

Wonder if any of the vendors can offer a pipleine sale like a 2 for 1 or bogo style or something.........

I want to brew every weekend it seems....man it's an itch that doesn't go away.

I"m right now thinking about what I can brew and what jucies I can ferment.....:rockin:

I'm gonna take my 3rd weekend off in a row because I brewed so much during xmas holidays and every weekend for a while. Don't wanna get burned out! Starting to miss it though.

Hmm you have some good ideas there. Maybe a buy one kit, get 5% off the second and 10% off the third? (assuming they're in order form largest to smallest price or equal price at least)

To encourage multiple kit purchases :)

Yeah something like that so if I buy more than one kit I get a discount on second of equal or lesser value.....

The discount is in the flat rate shipping from many OHBS. Order 1 kit a month, pay 8 bucks each time to ship. Order 6 kits at once, only 8 bucks shipping total.

Yeah but if I buy same at LHBS I don't pay shipping....for me to order from companies the cost(including shipping) needs to beat my local spot...Right? Now I'm lucky LHBS is only 20 minutes away. Now if the online company has things my LHBS doesn't that is different story....

Which is why I ordered 2 or was it 3 (it was late and I'd been practicing too much RDWAHB) extract kits from NB last night.

I would say that if the OHBS and LHBS offer the same quality, then you should be buying from the LHBS. OHBSs can't compete with that and still turn a profit. I don't think the OHBS were founded to compete with Locals, but serve all of us who don't have one, or have a sub-par one.

Perhaps....Still I got to ask see if I can get more for less.........:rockin:

Here in Huntsville our only LHBS is Pearly Gates, a health food store basically, and the homebrew section would easily fit in a small bedroom so while I like my LHBS they don't HAVE much just the very basics.

I give Pearly Gates what business I can, as long as they're not too much higher than OHBS pricing ($22.99 for a case of 12 oz bottles for example). Gotta support the home team when it's possible.

Dang, I thought California was expensive. I pay $14.99 for a case of 12 oz bottles.
