I am curious if anyone here uses them and can share. Does the flow control work any better than the regular faucets? It would be nice to not bother with line length as much.

You still need line length.I have the flow control and cant recommend them enough.I have 10 ft lines and still tweak the pour with the flow control.Worth the money

I have the new ones, and I still have long lines. I tried shorter lines and it still foamed too much. 3-4' = foamy 8' = perfect pour.

Biggest + for me is if someone bumps the tap open and leaves it open, I lose like 6 drops instead of a whole keg. (this has happened already and saved me 4.5gallons of beer) They have paid for themselves in that one instance, ( I leave them completely shut unless I am pouring). :rockin:

Howdy,

When I was building my kegerator, I searched all over to determine if the flow control faucets were worth the money. I never really found anything that was conclusive, but I bought them anyway. They definitely work, and are worth the money.

I recently carbed a beer at 20 psi at 38 degrees (about 3.3 volumes of co2) and recorded a terrible video to show how well they work. here it is:

That's a pretty good demonstration, thanks for sharing.

Also the flow control is great for filling bottles or growlers. You just put a piece of hose in or over the tip of the faucet so you can fill from the bottom of the bottle/growler. Then adjust the flow rate to fill slowly with little foam.

I would say they are definitely worth the price difference.
