Do I need to break down the faucet each time between kegs for cleaning, or will pumping beer line cleaner thru the lines and faucet do the job? These faucets are new to me and they seem to stay pretty clean compared to my old style faucets.

Real new to these Perlicks I break down everything every third keg. I take apart and put them in order of removal clean and sanitize each piece then put back togeather

Sorry for the interruption. That being said the Perlick web site says just flush with cleaning solution and sanitizer

I confess I do not take my Perls apart for cleaning, but recirculate BLC from the QDs through the faucets instead...

Cheers!

I have a micro-matic pressurized BLC tank with a Sanke coupler and ball lock adaptors for the ball lock QD's I am using. It makes cleaning a snap and these new Perls don't seem to gum up anywhere near as much (actually none at all) as the old style faucets I struggled with for years. I could run a swab inside those old taps and come up with all kinds of crud and gunk. I ran a swab in the Perl and not a thing was crudded after a month. I think I'll continue to flush out with BLC and if it becomes sluggish, I'll break it down for a deep clean. Thanks!

You can go a couple kegs but to be honest I would at least inspect every once in a while. Flush cleaning on that faucet is great and very effective but I would still look closely at it from time to time. I had 4 of those on my old keggorator and even though I would flush clean after every keg I still had a time or 2 when I open them up there was "STUFF" in them.

Cheers
Jay

I run OxyClean through every 1-2 kegs. I generally wait for them to clog with hop debris before disconnecting them and soaking.
