I just installed my Perlick 525s onto my Irish Coffin Box. A few weeks back after having ordered them I read a few threads where people had serious leaking problems with them.

I put them on and pressured up the kegs - not a single leak. So, don't let the problems necessarily worry you!

You are right. There are a 'few' threads, not a ton. Most are happy with their Perlicks. One of my six dribbled a little when I got them, but a quick 1/4 turn on the nut holding the tap handle fixed it just fine.

I seldom have issues, but did have a couple times where one tap wouldnt turn off! Only a couple seconds, but sure made a mess...otherwise, pretty happy

most of the perlick leaking issues arent really with the faucet themselves but with the cheaper chrome shanks. Perlicks just are machined to mate tightly it seems that alot of chromed shanks dont have the same tolerances.

Has anyone heard any more about this? I wanted to order 6 525's from a vendor this weekend and was told they're not being sold because Perlick is looking into manufacturing issues.

I've had a couple minor problems with mine. It seems that the forward sealing mechanism doesn't completely hold, which has allowed some beer to get in front of it, which then causes more pressure to move it towards open. So far I've been home the two times it has happened, so no major disaster...

One of my four has a very slight drip (one every few hours) if I don't make a point of pushing back firmly after a pour.

I was supposed to have one delivered today or tomorrow, but just received an email that the dealer is refunding my money due to a manufacturing defect...and they won't be selling anymore until the defect is resolved.

I just got off the phone with Perlick and they claim all has been fixed. However the vendor is claiming that's not the case and that the problem still exists. They're not selling because they don't want more returns (7 of 10 he said were being returned). It appears that there may still be an issue. I appreciate Kegconnection not sending out product that they're not comfortable meets their standards.

I'm one of those with past posts on leaking issues. About a month ago I bought another one and it went right in with 0 problems. So....it really seems to be just random I guess.

KEG Connection was who I had ordered with as well.

I'm going to get a 525 through someone else and rely on the Perlick warranty if I have problems.

I bought a 5 keg setup through kegconnection a month ago, and none of my 5 would fit on the shanks. After dealing with a couple of unhelpful customer service people, I finally got to talk to the owner. He was very apologetic, and told me that if I could force them on to do that and when they are finally getting good ones in, they would switch them out for me.
