Peaches and vodka

I plan to make a peach cream ale. I am thinking i will let the peaches get very ripe, peel, cut into small pieces then add vodka. What should my peach to vodka ratio be and how long does it need to hang out with the vodka?

Cover the peaches entirely with vodka for several days, at minimum. Longer will not be detrimental.

Yeah, you definitely want to get rid of any nasties on the surface of the fruit. I'd go 1-2lbs per gallon.
