I know it's been a while, but this is the best thread I have found on this topic.
Dan224, it's been a few years, how has this system worked out for you?

I am also curious as to how it turned out. So far there don't seem to be any negative stories here about it....but there are two bad reviews on Midwest Supplies (to go with 3 good reviews - but you never know who's writing those).

I have been searching as well and I am leaning towards getting one of these as I don't have the space for a full corny set up yet and with two kids getting ready to head to college there won't be a new or used fridge for that matter any time soon.. Well I went ahead and ordered from Midwest Supply Will let you all know how it goes when it arrives, now shopping for the next brew....

Anyone try figuring out a different tap for one of those I usually brew in small batches so these would be perfect for me. So I have been considering purchasing one and making my own tap for it so I could use regular CO2 can and have a remote spout, this way I could possibly have more than one brew on tap at a time.

I see this thread is a little old but here goes.. I like beer in spurts.. But not a huge beer drinker daily. I would like to get party star and a mini keg and i make 2.5 gallon batches. I'd like to mini keg and bottle. I really thought about a full keg set up just just really can't dedicate that much space or make dinner gallons at a time..

How long will my beer stay fresh in the mini keg after I tap it with party star?

I decided to take all the complexity out of big expensive keg systems (Keg, CO2, Regulator, Tap, Lines) and turn it into a simple portable affordable system that has numerous applications. Check it out.....Tailgatetapper.com

Its a self contained portable beer (or any other refreshment) dispenser. Just fill the stainless steel keg, (currently comes in 3 sizes, 2L, 4L and 5L) screw on the special charging/dispensing cap, screw in small CO2 Cartridge, turn it on and add Ice to keep cold and you are set! The lid can be locked so no one tampers with your beer or CO2. Its portable and fairly light.

The Stainless Steel beer kegs can be used to store small batches of beer indefinitely and they also come with a stainless lid with rubber seal that can withstand the pressure of conditioning. Ditch the bottles and expensive Cornelius kegs!!!!!

Come check out the site....Im currently working on cleaning up the tubing connection with push fittings/quick connects and looking into licensing with all the big sports authorities (NFL, MLB, NCAA, etc.)

Will you be the first at the party/tailgate with the coolest portable beer keg system or just another brown bottle?!?!

Dan
