Hey guys, I'm on my second brew, I used a Coopers wheat lme, 2 lb muntons dme, 1lb sugar, threw in some bitter orange peel, coriander and cumin at the last half of a 20 minute boil, pitched safbrew s33. I racked to secondary (let the debate begin) after a week. My question concerns the color. I realize that most extract brews will be darker, but 24 hours after racking to secondary, the top quarter of the beer is noticeably darker than the rest, which is a nice cloudy wheatish color. Is this normal settling or did I screw something up when I racked?

Aah that's kind of what I thought. Another question- when using extracts and adding spices, etc., does it matter how long you boil or when you add them? Also do you strain your wort before putting it in primary? Thanks
