Has anyone tried putting pancakes in their mash? If so, did it produce any pancake flavor?

I can't imaging you'd get much from pancake flour or batter.

But there's a brewery back in the NY town I used to live in that throws a bunch of whole pumpkin pies into the mash while brewing their pumpkin ale.

When I think of Bisquick pancakes and waffles it's vanilla and caramelized batter.
Seems like one could work from there...

Cheers!

I’d be worried about oils in the batter ruining my precious foam.
There’s a local cider place that places whole pumpkin pies in the fermenter. Of course, no foam worries w cider.

Remember Dogfish's experiment of adding pizza directly, but the fat will not damage the wine body?
