PALISADE HOPS

Hi, just had 2 pounds of Palisade hops given to me...just wondering if anyone has experimented with them in the past? Is a S.M.A.S.H in order? Or don't waste my time?

I've used it a couple of times. It's okay but I'm not a real big fan. It's like a stronger version of Willamette but with more lemon citrus and an odd perfume-like character. It's like halfway between Willamette and Amarillo, but not as good as either one.

Ok, thanks. Really looks like it's best suited for English style beers...

I don't agree, I think it's better in American styles.

I’ve never hopped a beer heavily with them, but I use them in cream ales, blonde ales, and wannabe lagers.
