Real quick, simple question...

I got my ingredient order from OBK, for a weekend brew.

Was supposed to contain (among other things) 6 1 lb bags of 2-row Briess. Actually contains 2 bags labelled as 2-row, 4 labelled as Thomas Fawcett Pale Chocolate.

Google tells me Pale Chocolate malt is still very dark brown... and these bags all look the same... light brown malt, nothing dark at all... so I'm assuming the bags are just mislabelled... but just wanted a quick confirmation that Pale Chocolate malt is very easily differentiated from 2-row, correct? If it really was Pale Chocolate, I'd see the difference.

Definitely not pale chocolate. I have some Fawcett pale chocolate and it is almost as dark as regular chocolate.

Very much not pale chocolate, but I would not assume anything. Contact OBK, ask for an explanation of what you have and send them the picture.

Thanks. Will touch base with obk... Either it's 2 row or I'll be making an odd pale ale this weekend. Lol

Strangely the packing list was checked off as having been confirmed by obk.... Someone wasn't paying attention apparently.
