unhook the gas, purge all the gas out of the keg and keep doing that every day or so until the beer is where you want it.
 
Or if you're in a hurry, put a gas line on a liquid side QD, connect the gas to the liquid post, and pull the pressure relief valve several times. The large bubbles of gas coming up through the beer will knock all of the excess CO2 out of solution.
