Brewed a maple porter and the recipe calls for a quart of maple syrup in secondary. When I racked I purposely picked up a little of the yeast(WLP007) and racked on top of boiled and cooled syrup w/ a little yeast food.
Airlock is bubbling but no krausen.
Can I A$$ume that the yeast is chomping away at the syrup?
Should I have O2ed this?

Thank-you

Dont o2 fermented beer without very good reason.

Its very likely fermenting. Take gravity readings if you can to reassure yourself. Its a small amount of yeast, and a small amount of sugar, you arent going to get a huge krausen if any at all, you are past the yeast reproduction phase. Relax, and give it a couple weeks to finish up.
