You know what's cool? I got to try both of those. For nothing. At a bottle share. It's amazing what beers you'll get to try by just being socially involved in the beer community.
But that usually COSTS me money. You suck at capitalism, man.
 
I really hope this is one of the situations where what the store is doing is dramatically illegal in their home state

The store is in Michigan, and a quick look at the regs governing entities in that state with an off-site consumption license didn't yield anything that specifically forbids such a practice, so long as the purchaser ultimately comes to the store and completes the transaction. If anybody more familiar with those laws or who has more time to read them wants to correct me though, please feel free.

It is an objectively shady thing to do though, so if I were the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, I might want find a way to discourage such practices.

Yeah but you didn't get to show the the bottles off in your cellar and post them on your Instagram. You just don't get it.
