Love the fact that last Sunday this guy posted a review of Dragonsaddle on BA where he calls it, "a tangy tastebud bombardment." Sounds awesome.

A dank ass full?

Sounds pretty good tbh.

"FT: Trickery (pre) ISO: Rose De Grambus
Going to the release this weekend looking to get two .750 bottles for 1 Trickery Bottle. Let me know."

Anyone have any of that Rose de Grambus? SeaWatchman, how bout yous?
What an idiot. Obviously misspelled Rose de Krampus, Cantillon's new Christmas beer.

I dunno, aside from "tangy tastebud bombardment" this is a 2.5/5 review. It's all the generic NEIPA descriptors strung together: peach-orange; dank; citra; fresh hops; pineapple; pine needle; resin; orange julius; cannabis; pillowy. Those words appear in virtually every NEIPA review ever written.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but it seems like he's grossly overvaluing his bottle.

Beer "values" being absurd in general, Peconic is a beer of Phil Morowski legend, it just never trades any more being a small release 5 years ago. Adding to it for an SR-71 is pretty funny in my mind.

The "values" for the ISO bottles in that post are all over the place though. Then again, most of the beer "market" is just some imaginary ********. :)

Peconic is one of those beers that's going to be basically impossible to move using the sort of newmoney-ish "what's it go for on secondary?" valuations he seems to be trying to work with. The number of people who don't have it that are going to value it at the same level as the people who do have it is likely exceedingly small.

Whoops

Not that this is a bad offer, as I think it's quite generous. CAUTION is a great beer and Hoof is, well, Hoof. But I do love citing Untappd in your trade post. That is a bold move

New Caution is 2016 bottle released last week. Best vintage yet (averaging 4.5 on untappd).

"FT: Trickery (pre) ISO: Rose De Grambus

Well that's a pretty crappy deal beyond the hilarity of him not being able to even remotely spell the name of the beer he wants, one bottle of Trickery for a fruited Cantillon lambic that...

Going to the release this weekend looking to get two .750 bottles for 1 Trickery Bottle. Let me know."

...oh for ****'s sake.

screenshots please! i love that he added the goat to that offer. i could leave my office right now and walk three blocks and find a fridge full of them.

Too lazy for screenshots at the moment. His answer when asked what he traded to get his "other" bottle of d'Aunis:

"Just some locals to a trading partner I've been trading with for a long time that lives in Willebroek. Value is too fickle in the trading game, it fluxuates more than the stock market. It's about finding connections, value is set between that."

Then he drops this gem:

" I appreciate value input, although this [the trade offer posted above] will get done. Maybe not on here. I do think with some experience your foresight on trading will change. Not sure if you keep up with other people's deals. Sounds like you try but there is no consistency on either side. Unique trolling approach though to set someone else's value and block it from happening to validate the point your clawing to control."

and of course:

"Closed on one, have more though if anyone needs. A&G was bottled a day apart from the annual Gueuze"

What amazing FB group is this?

What amazing FB group is this?

Rare Beer Seeker, one of the big trading groups.

This same person (I recognized the name immediately) had previously written several dismissive posts about how BCBS is being pasteurized this year. When asked to provide evidence of the evils of pasteurization he was claiming, he posted some diatribe about how it was based on his personal experiences, and named La Folie specifically. Because lord knows that pasteurizing a barrel-aged stout is the same thing as doing it to an American wild ale...

I guess the question is if he is looking to trade with someone in Belgium for the Aunis, why would they be terribly interested in those other (relatively) easier to access 3F beers? You'd think american beers would be more attractive.
