I beed brewing with midwest kits since i started brewing and got all my stuff there .I been looking around and found austin home brew site. Wanted to see if anyone had used there kits and how are they.

One the top sites recommended here by me and many others. The owner is a member. They have great kits, ingredients, and service.

OMG, again with the spam? what the hell?

anyway, since the closest homebrew supplier to me is about 3hrs away i have simply ordered the kits from AHS. i've been very pleased with the quality and service. they're the only ones i've used for ordering ingredients or kits, so i couldn't comment on any of the other sites' kits. but i'm sure AHS wouldn't disappoint you.

I live in Boston and regularly order from Austin Homebrew and Northern Brewer (St. Paul is my hometown, gotta support the "local" company!). Both have excellent selection, prices, and service, along with the great 7.99 shipping flat rate. Never had a problem with either.

I'm an Austin Homebrew girl, and I live in Michigan! Definitely recommend them.

I'm here in Austin, so I pop on in AHS whenever I need something. The shop is huge and well stocked, they just moved to a new location a month or so back and expanded their storage space exponentially so they keep a ton of everything on hand (I was offered a tour on Saturday... reminded me of the warehouse at the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark). The staff are friendly, helpful, and most importantly they know their trade (for some reason I always manage to get Ed when I go in to shop, and that's just fine... he's been awesome and educational).

As for their kits... they rock. I've not been disappointed with them one bit. I do, however, deviate from their printed instructions by leaning more toward DeathBrewer's stovetop easy partial mash technique, but all the ingredients and yeast are top notch.

Northern Brewer is very good, I also really like Brewmasters Warehouse, very fast with good prices and very friendly. You can input your recipe with all the amounts you need on their site and they will package it all up and send it ASAP.

In the interest of fairness along with Austin Homebrew Supply, I'll also recommend Brewmaster's Warehouse. Both are active members of the forum.

Also nothing wrong with Midwest, Williams Brewing, Northern Brewer and others. A lot of times it really boils down to who is closest or has the lowest prices including shipping.

I see Northern Brewer is now on the forum too.

I always shop the AHS website first... they have great service and are the closest to me which helps with shipping!

i placed my 1st order from AHS a few weeks ago for some grain for my IPA. the order was shipped out within 3days from my order & delivered w/ no problems. i had them crush my grains and i actually had a bump up of efficiency:rockin: can't coment on the kits but would highly recommend placing an order with them.
