On the other end of the blow-off tube

I'm planning to use a blow-off tube on my next batch. I've seen people use water at the other end while others insist on some kind of sanitizing solution. Are bleach-water solution or spirit such as vodka good choices?

i use water becuase of the amount of liquid it takes. We use a bucket that some liquid extract came in that we ordered form austins home brew. i change the water every three days. i never read what to do just doing just that made since to me.

I use a small bucket about a 1/2 gallon and fill it with star-san solution. You can just use what ever sanitizer you used to sanitize your carboy with, pour it from the carboy to you blow off tube bucket.
