My beer will have been dry hopping for 7 days this upcoming Sunday.

My question is, can I start cold crashing on Friday? Will 5 days of normal dry hopping at 65 degrees and 2 days at 40 degrees be okay? Or would it be better to skip the dryhop all together and have the extra two days of dry hopping at a higher temp.

Thanks!

Since there's plenty of differing opinions and techniques for dry hopping, I'd say anything goes. Nothing sounds bizarre in your suggestion. Seven days, five days, ten days, two days... all have been and are practiced!

From what I've read, people claim that cold crashing first (to encourage yeast to drop) and then dry hopping the clear beer, is the "best" way to impart hop aroma. I haven't tried that yet, but will the next time I dry hop.
