I brewed the Caribou Slobber weeks ago, and wrote a thread about how well everything went...including the taste.
However, into my 9th bottle (no not all at once:drunk:) and this bottle makes the 2nd one that has a clear salty taste. Like seawater.
All bottles were bottled at same time of course, I put the primer in the bottling bucket - so all bottles should have the exact same amount of primer...all stored together...I can't think of a single thing that could be something different I did in just some of the bottles....what the heck?

All and any advice/comments appreciated.

I had the same issue with my very first batch...a brewer's best cream ale. It was distinctly salty at 2 weeks after bottling but cleared up at about 4 weeks. I'd also like to read up on this issue...

Well I sure hope so...weird how just some of the bottles are this way.
All new bottles, all stored exactly the same etc. etc.
Strange.

Could there have been some residue in only some of the bottles? It's gotta be in the bottles I would think.

UPDATE: Had my first beer party last night, I was as nervous as an alley cat....scared to freakin death it would end in shame as people started puckering their faces getting these salty beers.
But - I am very happy to say, 23 bottles emptied and no salt beers.
WHEW!!
To answer above, because I am still very interested how this strange occurrence did happen:

1) All of the bottles were brand new.
2) I santitized the bottles in Star-san.
3) All were stored in the empty box they came in, in a dark room.
I can't think of anything that could be different between bottles.
But after 23 good bottles in a row now - perhaps as mentioned early in this thread - it was still too young and not conditioned well enough.
But salty?
