It is a Va tradition to see how much you can get pasted the DMV when it comes to personalized plates. I remember the one that the personalization was "EAT THE" with the "Kids First" under it.

I was sure this was a Photoshop job, but I just did a bit of homework on the Virginia DMV site, and it turns out that there is indeed an "Unlocking Autism" specialty plate (that looks exactly like the frame pictured), and when I checked the availability of the combination "DERRP" it said it was unavailable, meaning it's already been issued. I'm legitimately surprised.

i went to the DMV site and found the autism plate and put it in. i get "We are unable to process your transaction. Please click HELP."

i get "personalized message already taken" on mine.

It seems with license plates that things like this get through until people complain. Then they ban them. Like the Florida guy who had the plate "Athiest" and someone complained so they took it away. Some words are banned by their filters, but people are good about being creative and getting around them.

I remember hearing a story a few years ago where a state issued issued real license plates using the letters WTF, then they had to backpedal and replace them after they got complaints of vulgarity.
