The same thing happened to me on my first brew. I put a brick on top of the bucket for fear the co2 would cause the lid to come flying off!
That lid looks like it's about to blow.
Put on a blowoff ASAP lest you make a mess of the ceiling. Ask me how I know...

Ha, wise decision... I usually stick the hose directly in the hole in the lid, sometimes the airlocks have a little crosshair type thing in the bottom of the stem that goes in the lid, Krausen clogs that up real quick and you're right back where you started. Anything beats what you've got going on right now though!!
Put it in your shower and pull the airlock out, if it makes you feel better put a paper towel soaked in Star-san over the hole, with all the co2 going out nothing bad is going in!
