The email was a bit confusing, but I believe we are able to order one extra of each beer offered, including the Galaxy DB Obelus.

All I really want is a case of that apricot goodness.

Anyone know if we're only allowed 1 bottle of that Galaxy dry hopped DB Obelus? It wasn't clear about that one.
I sent Chris an email asking that but never heard back. It wasn't a membership beer so I didn't figure the same applied. I ordered 2. If one gets cancelled out that's fine by me. I'd rather play it safe and order two than miss out on a second bottle while extras go to the taproom shelf.

I assumed if there wasn't enough to include it in the membership(i.e. everyone gets one) then the limit was one.
It kind of sounded like he meant there wasn't enough for the public, so they're offering it to us first. So ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
And just to be clear, I'm only wondering about buying a 2nd bottle, not a full case or anything.

Come on people... I tried to be as clear as possible. I said multiple times that you may only buy 1 of each bottle available. This was my concern doing presale to begin with.
No you're correct, you were very clear about the member bottle limit, but the dry hopped DB Obelus info was in a separate paragraph after where you specified that and didn't mention any limit at all. That, coupled with the ability to add more than 1 bottle in the drop down on the sale site, made it confusing.
I apologize if I added to any of the confusion.
Other than that, the presale option is super smooth.

So we had a two day debate about whether or not we could order more than one bottle of a beer currently on the shelf in the taproom for the general public to buy? There was honest debate about this even though we would be prepaying for said beer. The folks that paid $129 in April for 4 bottles of beer, a glass, and 10% discount.

Beer is so weird man. I can not imagine any other realm of small business reading that without laughing.

I thought it was pretty clear that unsold bottles from the member presale would end up in the taproom. So I am not really sure why it is weird to you.

and like IL the membership is more of a presale then a member only exclusive bottle...
It's weird that we couldn't preorder more than 1 considering we would be paying up front. Not about exclusivity. If there's enough to hit shelves, there's enough to buy more than 1. It's not a reservation. It's payment. Worst case scenario, someone fails to pick it up and you can sell that bottle twice.

Again, this is not an exclusivity comment. You have to sell all the beer somehow. If members don't buy it, the public gets it. Pretty simple.

I mean, the beer was meant to be released to the public in the tap room, but he loved it so much he wanted the members to get first crack at it. I think that's pretty ******* awesome of him to do, especially for the people that can't get to the tap room often and would have missed out otherwise. Complaining or saying it's "weird" we couldn't buy more than one of a beer we probably weren't supposed to originally even have a first crack at seems kind of ****** IMO.

Asking to pay for a beer in advance is ******? That's how jaded this place is now? My original post literally said it was weird that we debated buying 1 or 2 bottles and it's available on the shelf three days later. That is in fact strange. It's odd to not want to sell something to people that gave you a 7 month $125 down payment. It's not me "complaining" to say that's weird.

Maybe there wasn't enough Dry Hopped bottles for everyone to add 2 bottles to their presale list. Did you want them to go back after pulling all the presales to do a second round of presales for bottles that people didn't add during the first one?

Sounds like you're not happy and should move on...
