Small share a few weeks ago with yeaprolly

Pre-birthday share last night. Just a handful of bottles we tackled. There's a shitton more. Maybe hash tagger or Compton25 will throw up some more pics. These were all highlights. Except 50N4E. Underwhelming for me, but man it was cool to drink it in good company, so who cares.

1998 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze. I know the guy I got this off had stored it well, but it was heavily oxidized. Lots of sweet sherry. The smell was much better. Strong menthol/minty notes.

Sara fruit punch. So dang good.

We opened a bunch of different tomes. I got them all off Etre, new batch stuff. We had brise bonbons, la dalmatienne, and magic ghost. All were incredible bottles, but La Dalmatienne was INSANE. It smelled and tasted like an edible garden, very perfumy/flowery. I need more.

Cantillon Vigneronne vertical 2011, 12, and 13. My favorites were in order: 2012, 2011, and 2013.

Batch 1 Atrial drinking like a ******* champ. Sweet and sour raspberry goodness. Thanks Lutter!

I made a gueuze cuvee of every single gueuze we opened. Pretty tasty stuff itself. Yes I drank from the flower vase to tha dome. Had a fun time with Compton, Lutter, MChand2, deadmolecules, cyde and a few other guys.

Drank some pretty cool Allagash beers last night with a good crew:

For the older stuff my personal rankings were Victor Franc > Vrienden > Single Barrel One >>> Balaton > Gargamel >> Vagabond. Highlights of the newer stuff were Tiarna, Farm to Face, Merveilleux, and Emotional Honey. 5 people ended up being a good size group to work through 17 375mls. Paired with some pork shoulder and finished up the night with a Cycle Crank crowler (first time having and this is a legit great ipa, fantastic), BCBCS '12 bomber (doing great) and a '14 Prop (******* delicious). Fun night!

nice lineup slothy
The crazy thing is how many bottles we killed. Including about 4 oz of TB 001 bourbon. A whole bottle of mojito style mead from a local TX meadery. Etc. Gracious TB'ers gave me my first taste of vanilla rye. Great birthday share. Even better people though. I can't wait to see them all again.

Got the gang together for our semi-annual bottleshare Friday night and we did well.

Pictures are not great but nobody cared at that point. Some world class stuff and some stuff that was hot garbage, which makes it fun. The funk ruled in my book. BA Cellarman and Art are pretty much as good as it gets in the farmhouse realm. Those 3 BA Voodoo stouts are straight fudge, just incredible. Shady Oak is a name to watch out for as their Brett IPA was every bit as good as HF Sue, which was great. Virtue did an Asian Pear Perry with Grant Achatz and you could tell someone it's a world class American Wild and no one would know the difference. East Bank from Casey was stellar. Mott the Lesser was far better than 2012 Kate the Great. Grimm Vicar was really nice raisin, bourbon, and brown sugar. NG Wild Peach is funking up nicely. HF Aaron is about as good as a BA Barleywine can be, so smooth. Raspberry Eisbock, Caffe Americano, & Berry Bu round out the highlights. Wine BA Noir, The Willows Blueberry Sour, some CBC ice cream stout, and Cycle Friday were the lowlights. The first 3 were garbage, and Friday was just a mess. Quite a fun night.

Sunday, delayed pic. ****** quality due to Adirondack47 being drunk and talking about his balls all afternoon. thatisgrossman and Chouffe were also in attendance.

Highlights were CD 11, WWBV, BCBVS ( I don't even personally stout, bro and I loved it.) and that Four Quarters crowler was delicious. Thanks for another good time you fuckers.

Friend's birthday, so we did a quick 4 man in and out operation.

Framboos 14 has a clean and perfect expression of raspberries but not a whole lot of carb. Millennium is fine still, but just as boring as the other turn of the century 3F OGs. Belle Vue 99 is sourer than an Upland and our bottle of St Valentijn was outright bad.
