Solid night BravoDawg and ARice1914

Notes:
- Despite the TB and sours, I didn't **** myself.
- Batch 7 is White Birch pond water levels of terrible. It was my first time having this one; I'm surprised RR released it.
- Batch 6 was my favorite (most well rounded; clean lactic flavor with lemon zest and a touch of funk). Batch 4 was similarly balanced, but oxidizing into blandness. I wouldn't advise trading for b4 outside of a need to have the vertical.
- Batch 2 and 3 have gone firmly in the battery acid direction, with b2 more restrained due to oxidation. I didn't like them, but most people really liked b3. I've heard reports of really oxidized b2. The cork on mine held up pretty well, but in general, I'd suggest skipping that batch at this point. B3 can be a crapshoot.
- Batch 5 is going in the direction of b3, I think. Leaning towards that sour profile, but still drinkable for me.
- PH1 >>> 1. It was my first time having either one. 1 is well oxidized and over the hill; PH1 is getting there, but it has held up surprisingly well. Lot of balance and some dark fruit notes that stuck out.

It's apparent how different b1/PH1 were from the other batches, with b2/b3/b5 being of another family and b4/b6 being of yet another. B7 was a complete waste of money.

sounds delightful

After a beer or two at The Rare Barrel (lol) and then Fieldwork with @DrBeer (idk if he's on here or not), us two decided to open some beers: FO b2, Timbo Slice (shoutout to ShowerHeady pls send me more of this) Appreciation batch whatever is the most recent, CD17, Nonna's Blend 11, and First Nail (yay SaltyMalty!)

Fortunately I don't have to drive home anywhere after this :]

Note: DrBeer liked to recap things so that's why two of them have caps on. I also made him take the remainder of the First Nail we opened home with him so the one shown in the pic above is an unopened one

1986 Thomas Hardy's Ale (30th Birthday beer)
10/31/2013 St. Lamvinus (thanks Dunt)
Off Color / Side Project / Perennial ProCATStination
Sahtipaja MeadMe
Hailstorm / Imperial Oak LMFAGOSE

Impromptu tasting with hannydawg, fear025 imperialking and trickytunadicky centered around my 30th birthday.

Cheers!

#spontaneoussunday was fun, nice mineral funk on the Tradeships really enjoyed the 2 fruited ones. Lam is always awesome but I prefer it with a couple years on it as the funk isn't so muted by the fruit... This was '15

Posted this in the Hill thread, but obviously appropriate to put here as well.

Clearly, the theme here was HF. My friends may have used me for my Clover, haha. Elab 3 has held up very nicely, as did all the WoL. That SARA was beautiful before and it's just as sexy now. BG&E, Flora PP, and Elab 5 also in the top. Art and Sue need no words. The left side after Genealogy got super blurry.

If only we had Ann. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA sigh
