Jesus Christ. That post. Count me among the disapponted that didn't get Hand of Glory. But as others have mentioned, they are still figuring this **** out. When I got there at 10:45 or so and saw the line I announced to my friend and girlfriend we wouldn't get bottles. I was only partially right. Oh well. Go earlier, **** me right? But there is precedent for lowering the limits. Just sayin. I'm hoping enough people got three that anyone that wants to try it locally can. I was able to try it on draft and it was amazing.

I had this whole ******* typed up but luckily my friend Super Silver Haze reminded me that it doesn't matter. It also reminded me I don't wait longer than 10 minutes for weed.

I should clarfy that those 10 minutes aren't because of a special release, the workers are just too stoned to work the PoS system.

Does this add anything to the conversation? Doubtful, but it brings up a very important question: magnets, how do they work?

I didn't go so whatever, but kinda surprised they didn't lower limits based on the crowds. I remember limits being lowered in the past on big turnout releases like Phosphene, etc.

At Fremont, it's nice when an employee comes through the line and does a head count so they have an idea as to who is getting bottles and who isn't.

I don't think there is anything wrong with offering criticism. If people don't say something things won't improve. They've improved the process of getting people bottles once inside, but the POS set up definitely needs some work.

Agreed that constructive criticism is a good thing and I think they do listen to that. Entitled bitching just rubs me the wrong way and the original post was dripping with it.

There are ways to make those same points in a manner that can actually improve the product/service.

Talked to a buddy today and he said the line sharing was pretty crazy. Not everyone, but enough people making bad choices. Curious how much longer it's gonna be until someone gets it shut down.

**** like this makes the case for "In house only" bottles much stronger. Hook the locals up!

Or silent release......

Holy Mountain did stealth releases early on, but those days are over.

Secondary market is now our new Seattle beer overlord.

I don't know about stealth, but we always try and have stuff our on the counter that only sells through the taproom. Maybe it's not as appealing as some of the stuff we release in limited quantities to some people, but it's stuff we love and want to keep around town.

HolyMtn, the only reason those taproom counter bottles are not as appealing to some is because of what FoudreGuy mentioned above – i.e., those 'shelfies' can't fetch much on the secondary market. No fruit, no BA stout/barleywine = no #tradelife. To which I say, eff the secondary, that Gray Tower blend #3 is delicious. Keep it up.

Also, HolyMtn, I will say, as seriously constructive criticism, a token or stamp-based system would be awesome on release days, similar to what Fremont employed at the AO release. Hand out tokens to individuals in line, 1-2 hours prior to opening, where one token = one allotment. This will accomplish two key things: i) It'll ensure people aren't cutting in line (something which was definitely happening this past Saturday; and no, the excuse of 'someone must've forgotten to give me a token' isn't legit – you go to the back of the line) and ii) It'll ensure that anyone toward the back of the line doesn't have to stand around hoping to get a full allotment if they don't actually have any chance. They can either head right to the taproom to at least enjoy some of the new beers on draft, or they can get outta the rain and roll home. Anyway, just my two cents for a potential improvement.

Off Color has a pretty damn good system for their releases, it's a simple reservation which allows an individual to pick up their beer at specific time slots. It's worked very well for their larger and more sought after releases...

Maybe stealth wasn't the right choice of word, but I was talking about the early small run test brown label bottles (Goat, Ox, etc.) that you guys would put out for sale without any sort of notice on Sundays.

Appreciate all the feedback, and we've been working on some things already since Saturday. Can't express how much we appreciate everyone showing up for these, and more than anything, we want them to go smoothly and get you back to whatever it is that's not standing in line. There were a couple glitches with our PoS that caused things to move more slowly, but we're on it, so expect some changes for the next one. Thank you, guys!

I've got to get back to work and start barrel aging all of the marshmallows for the hot cocoa stations for next release.

pissing on the sides of buildings while there is a port-o-potty and a taproom bathroom, leaving garbage behind, cars getting damaged, illegal parking. not a good scene.
