SayWhat1 said:I just found this thread but I started trying to trim up August last year with the intention of joining the Air Force. In August I weighted 320. As of this morning I'm down to 245. I've been working out 6 days a week for at least 2 hours, most of the time more. The first half hour is usually weight training to get some tone and the rest is spent either on an exercise bike or elliptical machine. For the past 2 weeks I've been capping it off with a 2 mile jog at about 6.5 or 7 mph. I haven't had fast food in 3 months and I've been drinking diet soda since I started.
I've been trying to kick it up the past couple weeks because I'm really close to getting through MEPS.
So yeah, 75 lbs and counting!

McKBrew said:Good on you. One of the biggest problems affecting military recruiting in general is that candidates cannot meet weight requirements to join. I've read a few articles about those who have worked their asxses off to make weight so that they can, and you have done it as well. Your motivation will carry on into the service and you will be a valuable asset to the Air Force. Again, Good Job.
