I've also had a number of big non-beer "hauls", if you can call them that.
First, I got engaged!
Then that diploma haul:
New dog haul:
His name is Sebastian and he's a rescue Keeshond and the sweetest dog that there is. There's more details in
the best thread on TB.
And then I got a new job, so we moved to Portland and bought a house:
(In making this post I've discovered I don't really have any pictures of the house since we moved in and it's dark right now, but so this listing photo will have to suffice). It has great access to work and downtown Portland and since it abuts on the woods on two sides it feels like living on Endor or something.
However, as cool as it is, it's also a ton of work and requires more ******** than I can possibly believe to furnish and run. Worth it, but jesus, the struggle is real. And I'm not sure my fiancee was cut out for hard-core remodelling:
Thankfully, we've had some help. For instance, our neighbors moved and left us this sweet armour thing:
It's currently set up to have a CRT in the main cabinet, but I think I'm going to put a bar in for hangers instead.
Had to put in a new kitchen in the Mother in Law space:
My dad came down and helped a bunch, and it ended up being a great way to spend a lot of time with him now that I've moved.
I firmly believe a house isn't a home without a grill:
And too much more little junk to post here about. So yeah, good times.
