Came up on a case of the Insurgente version of the Stone Collab XocoVeza on the cheap. Insurgente is out of Tijuana and this beer is amazing.

Their beer is good but their QC is awful. I've had quite a few ****** bottles from them, especially Lupulosa.

This is the only beer i have had from them, i haven't had any issues but it wouldn't surprise me if i did. Tijuana gonna Tijuana.

The thing in Mexico is that a lot of people don't brew full time since there's little money in the industry. It's pretty much a side job/hobby for everyone so there's varying degrees of quality. I've had some really great stuff though and Insurgente is one of my favorites when they get it right. Lots of San Diego influence in their IPAs.

i will have to be on the look out for more Insurgente stuff., i haven't seen much around. I got this case for like $65 out the door and my wife liked the beer when we had it, so i won't mind if a few bottles are not 100%.
