I still can't believe I made this happen with no shipping or baggage fees!

I don't really like the sour beerz but the equity on these bottles was too high to pass up. How many VRs do these bottles get me?

How did you make that happen without shipping or baggage fees?

Icelandair allows for 2 carry-ons and 2 checked bags up to 23 kg per bag for flights to Europe from the US.

My wife and I checked 2 12-bottle shippers, a wine check and a large, empty suitcase. Clothes in carry-ons. 750s in bottle shippers and the wine check. Mags/375s in the suitcase.

Total weight was around 88 kgs

Luckily it was our honeymoon... And the trade off between shopping for her and beer for me was probably in her favor anyways

But nonetheless her patience is incredible and I couldn't have made it happen without her!

Ya and specifically in regards to ZyF. Trade boards treat it like the rarest thing ever yet apparently anyone who goes to Belgium can bring back 2-3 of them

Ya and specifically in regards to ZyF. Trade boards treat it like the rarest thing ever yet apparently anyone who goes to Belgium can bring back 2-3 of them

500 bottles released at 1 pp at 3F and they sold out the first weekend, 1500 for onsite only at bars and restaurants. If people are coming back with them they are either convincing bars to sell them to them for 70€ or so, are secondary market or trades.

My point wasn't "ZyF isn't rare".

It was "Why have I seen 10 bottles in the past few weeks in hauls?!?".

But thanks for the info. Gotta protect that trade value.

I can't speak for others but I traded for mine. I would love to spend 70€ on a bottle but in the end 1:1 with DB Huna was perfectly fine with me.

I was simply informing you, I'm pretty sure a lot are trading for things like what was posted above. I really don't care about the trade value, outside of wanting to get more. Those bottles will be drunk by my wife and me.
If my comments are so powerful to affect trade value then let's try this: the beer sucks and there are a billion bottles, I'm willing to trade horribly made German ipas or good pilsners for more bottles.

German IPAs likely have substantial equity since they're tough to get in the U.S.
