Back from my awesome tip to Belgium this weekend. Great bottles from 3 Fonteinen and a few from Cantillon. Shitload of Golden Blen :) a few of the other stuff. Managed to snag a Framboos for 28 Euros too

Are you in jail for evading taxes on this massive haul?

The logistics of that is mind boggling to me.
Srs question: how exactly did you manage to get everything back, shipped or checked baggage? How many boxes/crates/shipping containers?

I live here so i just drove just over 5 hours to Belgium with my Ford Escape. Loaded it up to the brim and brought it all back.

I go back stateside soon so allmy stuff will go in shipping containers. Hopefully no damage to everything

Oh and a nice gift from a friend in Belgium....a Westvleteren 8 back when it was being brewed by St Bernardus on behalf of the abbey. Anyone know a possible timeframe when these were made

I have a Westvleteren 12 with the same label (in blue) and I was told from the person who gave it to me it was from the late 80s.

Thats what I thought as well. One bit of info I found online of someone who tried it stated it was 1989 +/-

Wonder how this will taste after 26 years. Did you ever open yours and try it? If so how was it

I haven't yet. I'm not a fan of quads so it hasn't crossed my mind honestly but I think I'll do it soon.

So drgarage sends me a box but sends it to Dbijnagte 's work since it was a team effort. It lands today and Dbijnagte sends me the above picture, with the caption "What the hell did you give him and what were you expecting in the box?"

I go, "Oh yeah, that's what he said he was gonna send."

Dbijnagte: "Oh wait missed one."

As an extra. What. The. ****.

Crazy generous, drgarage is the boss.

Pneill316 was an awesome guy to reach out to my ISO Tilquin Mure plea. All he wanted was 'random stuff' in exchange.

That is my kind of trade, the awesome kind. Not 1 but 3 Mure. Plus more more Tilquin, plus Vietnamese Porter, Praire and homebrew.

Yep he added other stuff, awesome stuff.i hide the homebrew labels as Pneill316 is in the homebrew blind thingy. It made sense, but tomorrow I will DTT the ***** out of it and ruin it all.
