I was in the land of FIB last week, getting all of those sweet Chicago ticks. When I got back I had two boxes in my office. Both from San Diego!! What is it with those guys?!?! They just love to give their beer away!!

First SocalKicks had heard that my niece was named after Tony Gwynn and so he felt he had to send me the Tony Gwynn Hall of Fame beer and needed to send some beers with it to keep it company.

Thanks Alan!! I really appreciate the thoughtfulness! I owe you.

Then amk says he has to send me a "small" thank you box for sending him some beers to assist his MAW grant. This is a guy who gave away his MAW-Shelf Turd grants TWICE! (If you don't know what the MAW BIFs are you should really go check them out) I felt he deserved the assist for all he has done and he sends me this:

The growler is Hoppy Birthday, I am pretty sure. Damnit Albert!! The thank you box shouldn't be better than the original box!! Do you not know how this works?!?!

Either all of these guys from San Diego are really proud of their beer or they are way too generous (it's obviously both)

This is one of my favorite yearly releases, it falls about a month before my Birthday and I always have a surprise number of bottles wrapped up as gifts for me...but I always find a way to get one before my birthday, you know for science.
