Opened one of mine last night. It is worse than you think it's going to be.The BA Autumn Maple was drinking fine tonight. Worried about cracking a Cacaonut soon though.

Sorry. Opened another today and same thing. Very disappointed.I'm going to pretend I didn't read this. I'm going to be pretty annoyed if the cacaonut and BA Autumn maples I get are undrinkable. Was looking forward to both of these.
damn bro ! let me holla at one of them Belgium Reds yoThe brother came into town from Wisconsin.

We were all hoping for cacaonut to be better. Even uninfected, it's meh. They billed it as BT with cocoanut, and its Bois which means all the coco gets 100% lost and might as well have not even tried. Going on a limb here, but I have yet to really enjoy a Bruery anny beer. Fruet was an aggressive sugar mess and Bois wasn't a lot better. Doesnt matter what you age that on, it's not going to be great. Hence Cocoanut.I'm going to pretend I didn't read this. ISO: Brother in Wisconsin that brings me Strawberry Rhubarb FT: My Brother-In-Law that will bring you Lone StarNice haul. I had that woodcut #7 the other night. Big time oak but a good beer.
It was never billed as BT w/coconut. I tried it a week after the bottles released and the coconut was definitely not lost in the blend. Also, how are you going on a limb by saying you don't enjoy a certain beer? And because you don't like the anniversary old ales, it means no one else was going to enjoy this blend? We were all hoping for cacaonut to be better. Even uninfected, it's meh. My father in law has been trading, collecting and drinking good beer for 30+ years. That means beer Christmas presents when we visit.

"Cacaonut is a special treat. A rare and secret blend of several different barrel aged beers that we've pulled from our cellar along with toasted coconut and cacao nibs from San Francisco's TCHO."It was never billed as BT w/coconut. do you think it should be drank sooner than later to keep the coconut profile?"Cacaonut is a special treat. A rare and secret blend of several different barrel aged beers that we've pulled from our cellar along with toasted coconut and cacao nibs from San Francisco's TCHO."
Guess when I read that I was thinking stout as was everyone in my tasting group. Tasted like Bois to me. Just my impressions. Where did I say no one else would enjoy it (though based on RB and BA ratings I would wager more ppl agree with me than you think), I just said my thoughts on the beer. Calm down buddy.

I dont think it matters, thought it was lacking/lost on the bottle I had. Not sure I see it coming out more with additional time in the bottle, but if you're curious I would ask others who enjoyed the beer more than I did. Probably get a better response.do you think it should be drank sooner than later to keep the coconut profile?

Got an unsolicited message a few weeks back from Scalzo asking me if I'd landed a Proprietor's yet. I say no. He says no problem, he'll send me one. Completely blindsided by the generosity. Sent along some great extras as well. Tom is the kind of guy that makes this site great.
