thanks man for hooking me up with all these beauties, wish i had these with me in mexico! appreciate your trade friendship.

plan of retaliation commencing ;)

Damn, I didn’t think Total Wine received stuff like those Tilquin bangers. Gonna need to hit them up...doesn’t even need to be price mistake either.

I've purchased Tilquin Quetsche in the clearance section at Total Wine before. I think "weird Belgian" stuff that sells for $25-30 scares away the average TW shopper.

What's the story with these? They caught my attention on Etre but they were out of stock. Love the labels.
I think the ones on Etre were their ciders. But basically it's 2 brothers in the middle of nowhere in Belgium making old school spontaneous stuff really really well. They've been at it for a while, with wine, beer and cider, but today was the first day they commercially released beer.

Nice, sounds interesting. Hope they show up on Etre someday.

I think it should. Most of their beer so far is just one or two barrels and I think Etre is one of the only shops getting some. So far it's these beers

Vita brevis

Our first beer, brewed in our brewhouse at Kortenaken.
This is our interpretation of the former farmhouse
beers of the south of Belgium: lots of esters, tart and
easy drinkable. The grain bill consists of barley malt,
raw wheat and oats. Fermented with our wild/native
houseculture and matured in red wine barrels for
nine months. Bottled October 30, 2018.

Reine des vergers

Local white peachers, at a ratio of 300g per liter,
added to a beer aged in a Belgian white wine
barrel. The beer itself was turbid mashed and
brewed with plenty of raw weat. Fermented
with our wild (native) houseculture,
Bottled September 30, 2018

L'Or de pré

For this beer, brewed in early Spring 2018, we filled our
coolship with dandelion flowers from our garden. It was
fermented with our wild (native) houseculture in red
wine barrels. The grain bill consists of malted barley,
raw wheat, and raw spelt. Bottled October 30, 2018.

Libatie

We added local raspberries and tart cherries
(Gorsemkrieken) which we handpicked, to a
beer that had aged gracefully in a Belgian white
wine barrel. Bottled September 30, 2018.

Haven’t gotten a box of beer in about a year. Got two awesome ones from this year’s festivus.

Just about a perfect festivus box from brystmar

Glad you liked it! Goal was to overwhelm you with a bunch of barrels.

Did you find the non-beer additions? Tucked them underneath packing material in all four corner slots.
