Though I'm not sure what you do if they have to go to the bathroom.
I'm guessing I will get another beer and watch them figure it out for themselves.

Wait...you're going to DG? I thought you didn't like sours...
I generally do not like wilds, sours or lambics, so I won't get a bottle...but DG has a tremendous rep and if I can taste small pours of their stuff while I'm in the area, maybe I will find something I like. Plus, I can always try to get bottles for future BIFs. I'll try anything, but usually that stuff isn't my thing.
Thats me...I will say I tried a Fantome Saison the other day and really enjoyed it. Normally not my thing either.
You may have to offer up something she wants to do as an offset. I usually convince my wife that it will be the only beer related event on our trips. It works out pretty well usually.Girlfriend and I are traveling to Portland for a week of vacation the first week of October. How do I sell her on going to Tillamook? She doesn't see the appeal.

Cheese factory, hiking, ocean, rail riders(if they are still going), etc.Girlfriend and I are traveling to Portland for a week of vacation the first week of October. How do I sell her on going to Tillamook? She doesn't see the appeal.

That's exactly what I did with the now Mrs. She was pretty up for it, but though we still ended up having to wait in line in the rain for the bottle release (it was like July).Does she hate the ocean and beautiful, rugged coastline? There's more to do on the coast than sit in an industrial park and drink cow fart beer. You could easily make a day trip of it. Take 26 out of Portland towards Seaside then drive south on 101. Hike down to Short Sands (Oswald West State Park) or check out Indian Beach/Ecola State Park. Drive south to Tillamook, hit de Garde, and take 6 back into Portland.
Gene and NAD1983 is this still a thing? I can help plan. If it is maybe we should rope in degardebrewing as well?Oh and a side question so we can keep to discussion about de Garde....
Any interest in a faux West Coast TB Anniversary at DG this summer? Rent a house like the old parties but instead of being butts to nuts and waiting in line we could just go crazy on the bottle list and bring a few bottles to share.
Burritos and lactic farts for everyone!
Well.... no one cares about seeing me so what say you Gene and degardebrewing?Gene and NAD1983 is this still a thing? I can help plan. If it is maybe we should rope in degardebrewing as well?
Let's do this!

Had a killer time at DG yesterday with ac24 and did some damage to the on premise list.
Side by sided Noir Truffle, EOC, and BT3. Out of the gate the BT3 was just perfect...great aroma...reminded me of Boon or 3F funk. As things opened up, the Noir Truffle really shined. Crazy parmasean mineral Tillafunk.
Blossom was unreal. Had tons of fruity notes that blurred the lines between watermelon and stone fruit.
Thanks for the great hospitality and beers degardebrewing !!
wuntrikpony you are still the wurst.
A week late for me.I'm 90% sure I'll be out that way on 9/22 and/or 9/23.
