Also, if you're not into driving down to Cascade Head, you could do the Three Capes Loop. Very cool, close to Tillamook, tons of nice vistas, some short hikes, and Cape Meares lighthouse.

thanks guys, ended up doing Cascade Head and it was pretty great. stopped at Twist for a beer and they had bottles of Matryoshka available, definitely a nice surprise. also won a couple hundred bucks stopping at Chinook Winds and Spirit Mountain on the drive back!

If this is going to be the official de Garde thread moving forward (now that the old 'Keepers' one is closed/locked), can it be renamed "Official de Garde Thread"? I noticed another thread named "Official de Garde Thread" has just been started, and I for one would prefer to reduce any confusion amongst the TB community. Thoughts? Trady or Gene? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

degardebrewing how do I sign up for membership club?

de Garde made this thread. If they like it with this name, then it's good with me.

Tillamook bring the Tillafunk. Learn about the town.

I mean, I don't care which thread we use, I just wanna understand: Is this the de Garde thread? The Tillamook thread? Or both? (I.e., there are things in Tillamook that aren't de Garde, but if we all agree that it's #NoBigDeal, that's A-ok. I just don't want to deal w/ two competing de Garde threads, which was where we were yesterday, and theoretically, where we're back at today...)

Thoughts on The Truffle and The Truffle Noir?

in b4 drinking beautifully.

The Noir Truffle > The Truffle. The Pas > both of them. Drank them all side by side last Friday. All very good, IMO. They drank... swimmingly?

I dunno, I'm not a truffle connoisseur. I got some mineral earthyness in both. And of course a dose of TillaFunk. Pleasant tartness, maybe 4-5/10 on the tart scale. The Noir Truffle was more robust. I also suck at beer, so YMMV. Figured I'd just chime in to crush trade values.
