One of the big value-adds w/ that Keepers FB group, at least for me, is it allows me to easily identify people I never ever wanna share a beer with.

Hell I trolled you thinking you were someone else until we got that sorted and I'd gladly have a beer with you dude. lol

I was sitting around people watching/drinking at dG on Friday when a group of three people came in. They looked a bit touristy. They ordered half or full pours of everything on tap and three bottles from the on-site list. They arranged all their glasses just so on their table. They had two or three sips of what must have been >3 liters of beer, then took photos from the most artistic angles. Then they left, glasses and bottles still full. WTF.

Does this happen often there? Never seen that before...

Kudos to the degardebrewing crew for just shuffling the three open (full) bottles to the couple at the next table, who spread them around the room. Great handling of a disappointing situation!

Maybe they work for some beer site or travel mag or something? But in that case, you'd think they'd have arranged a shoot with De Garde ahead of time.

That's honestly one of the weirder beer stories I can recall.

Yeah, it was definitely weird. It seemed more instagram-y (they were using iPhones and looked like they were posting photos somewhere as they were taking them) than beer site or travel mag to me, but who knows.

It just made me sad to see (some of) the beer wasted. Sometimes people make me has disappoint.

Splitting the 2014 bottle of bu weisse was a fun treat though. reminded me of funky olive brine, really interesting what that developed into.

Holy hell, I can’t even believe some of these comments on Trevor’s follow-up post. Here’s a real gem: “Would smaller bottles mean entire keepers get 1?”

Yes, dG is going to restructure their business model so that you, good sir, can get one 375 bottle of The Truffle.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok which one of ya is Abel. lol.

Finally made it out to dG’s new digs. What an awesome spot, especially that covered patio. Already looking forward to next time.

Oh, and this was fuggin’ baller:

Might be my favorite dG ever.

This is one of my favorite dg beers as well, and it makes me even more excited for Avenue No. 4!

Love the new taproom. The tour is really nice, too. Tommy is super friendly and knowledgeable. We had a long group discussion about Jester King, Methode Traditionale, and belgian lambic producers. The sit down afterwards with the story behind the bottles is a really nice touch, too.

I was there Friday and missed the beer photographers who left full bottles on the table. WTF??

I heard about that, I thought they were just there for instagram cred.
