I recently brewed an all grain Oktoberfest style steam beer and I'm trying to place a very vague odor I may or may not be perceiving. I say 'may not' I am still a 'nervous newb' as they say. I didn't hit my OG target due to my large false bottom affecting my water calculations in beer smith so I boiled it down to 1.070 and finished up a month later with 1.010. What I smell reminds me of my extract beers in that it is slightly inky. So I wanted to know if anyone has any experience with off odors from mallard reactions.
